Made with mechanical pencil.
The idea for this work came from the usual childhood nightmares I'd have of what happens after death and all that. Most of the time it involved floating in darkness as a sort of angelic creature until one was consumed by the light.That part often scared me the most because one is given this suspicious feeling that the light is something empty, cold, and unpromising, almost evil i guess one could say.

GUNDAMN! I LOVE THIS! The image's texture conveys so smoothly at the same time something flowy (liquid), gooey (slime / ooze), stretched-out + wrinkly (the face + eye), and even broken (same as before, but instead of something soft being crumpled, it's something solid that's shattered). Not to mention that the contrast between the 2 halves of the face (somewhat serene and human, then distorted and monstrous) is great!
